We incorporate scenario analysis when unusual events create uncertainty. For example, during the COVID‑19 pandemic we issued special updates and adjusted our models to reflect shutdowns, stimulus measures and shifting consumer demand. Regulatory changes—such as new emissions rules—are factored into our assumptions as soon as details are known. Most importantly, we talk to our customers throughout the industry to gain perspectives, insights, considerations for how to view these unique events.
