ACT Research Seminar Event Registration Terms
1. Registration and Confirmation
These terms apply to ACT Research seminars and related workshops. By registering or accepting an invoice, the attendee and purchasing organization agree to these terms. Registration is confirmed only after ACT Research provides written and/or email confirmation and is subject to availability, payment, and applicable eligibility requirements.
2. Pricing and Payment
The registration must be identified as subscriber, non-subscriber, or complimentary. Subscriber pricing requires an active qualifying ACT Research subscription when invoiced. Workshops and other add-ons are separate unless specifically included.
Payment is due by the invoice due date and before the event unless ACT approves different terms in writing. ACT may cancel an unpaid registration or release the attendee’s seat after the payment deadline.
3. Cancellations and Substitutions
Cancellations received in writing before the cancellation cutoff stated in the registration confirmation will receive a full refund. Beginning on the cutoff date, registration fees are non-refundable and will not be converted to account credit.
After the cutoff, the purchasing organization may substitute another employee from the same organization at no additional charge or request the generally distributed seminar materials, if available. Subscriber-priced registrations may be transferred only within the qualifying subscriber organization. Registrations may not be resold or transferred to another organization without ACT’s written approval.
4. Included and Prepaid Registrations
Registrations included with a subscription or another commercial arrangement have no cash value and are not refundable. They must be used for an event occurring during the applicable subscription or benefit term unless ACT agrees otherwise in writing. Unused registrations expire at the end of that term and do not roll over.
5. Event Changes, Rescheduling, or Cancellation
ACT may make reasonable changes to the event’s speakers, agenda, schedule, venue, or delivery format. These changes do not create a refund right unless ACT cancels or materially reschedules the event.
If ACT cancels the event without providing a replacement, ACT will refund the registration fee paid. If ACT reschedules the event, the registration will transfer to the new date. An attendee who cannot attend the new date may request a refund within 10 business days of the rescheduling notice.
ACT is not responsible for airfare, lodging, change fees, lost time, or other attendee expenses resulting from an event change or cancellation.
6. Attendance and Conduct
Registration is limited to the confirmed attendee. Badges, access links, and credentials may not be shared. Attendees must follow venue requirements and reasonable event-conduct expectations. ACT may remove an attendee for unsafe, unlawful, harassing, or materially disruptive behavior without providing a refund.
Accessibility, dietary, or other accommodation requests should be submitted by the deadline stated in the registration materials. ACT will make reasonable efforts to address timely requests.
7. Event Materials, Recording, and Photography
Seminar slides, forecasts, data, recordings, and other materials are owned by ACT Research or the applicable presenter and are provided for the attendee’s internal business use. Materials may not be recorded, reproduced, published, sold, or redistributed without written permission.
ACT may photograph or record common event areas for event documentation and promotion. Attendees who do not wish to appear should notify ACT before the event or at registration.
8. Liability, Governing Law, and Questions
To the extent permitted by law, ACT’s total liability related to a registration will not exceed the registration fees paid for the affected attendee and event. ACT is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses associated with attendance, travel, event changes, or cancellation.
These terms are governed by Indiana law. Any permitted legal proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Bartholomew County, Indiana.
Questions about registration, payment, cancellations, or accommodations should be directed to trucks@actresearch.net or 812.379.2085. A signed agreement or accepted order form will control if it expressly conflicts with these terms.
